STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Job Description
ESD’s new design engineer will work in tandem with experienced staff on residential, commercial and institutional projects. The successful candidate will work on all aspects of these projects, including analysis, design, modeling, detailing and coordination with architectural drawings. This position will emphasize both the technical and practical aspects of working as a consulting structural engineer.
The minimum education requirements below require a bachelor’s degree and an EIT certification; however, candidates with master’s degrees and/or PE licenses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Education
B.A. in Architectural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
Minimum Qualifications
1 to 5 years’ experience in the structural design of buildings.
Coursework in structural analysis, concrete, masonry, steel and wood design required.
Proficiency in Revit Structure required.
Experience with structural design software (i.e. – RISA, TEDDS, Struware & Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office is preferred.
